Rebecca graduated from James Madison University in 2002 with a degree in Kinesiology with an Exercise Science concentration. She continued to enhance her interest in fitness by obtaining her Personal Trainer Certification from the American Council on Exercise. She then went on to receive her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Arcadia University in Philadelphia. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association Orthopaedic and Sports Sections and is very active in post-graduate continuing education. Rebecca was recognized as an Orthopaedic Certified Specialist (OCS) by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties in 2008. She is a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMT), successfully finishing this training and certification in 2010. She also has extensive experience dry needling.
Rebecca enjoys problem solving and integrating new techniques in her practice to diagnose and treat movement dysfunctions in a variety of conditions. She has experience in outpatient orthopaedics, sports physical therapy, geriatrics, orthotics and amputee rehabilitation. She is a firm believer in patient education and strives to teach patients how to maintain optimal function and health after physical therapy treatment is over. Rebecca enjoys the outdoors and is active in hiking, cycling, tennis, and fitness activities in her spare time.
