Matthew Stitzlein

Growing up in the Montgomery County area, Matt graduated from Towson University in 2016 with a degree in Athletic Training, followed by receiving his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from University of Maryland Baltimore in 2022.

When treating, Matt feels every patient benefits from hands on manual therapy, followed by strength and conditioning work to reduce patients’ symptoms and improve their functional capacity. Matt’s personal goal is to always have his patients leave PT above their pre-injury level of function. Matt has worked hard to achieve certifications in the Barbell Rehab Method and Titleist Performance Institute to better treat both high level strength athletes and the recreational golfer. Matt is looking to further expand his specialties with focuses in manual therapy and return to sports courses to continue to provide the highest level of care to his patients.

As an avid golfer and former lacrosse player. Matt enjoys working with athletes of all levels, from the collegiate players to the weekend warrior. Drawing upon his former time at Towson University as an athletic training student, Matt has seen a wide variety of sports related injuries and worked with many athletes to return to sports following these injuries. Matt believes every patient’s treatment plan should be individualized and that the rehab process needs to be a collaborative effort between the provider and the patient.
