Kimberlin (Kimmy) Scala
Kimberlin (Kimmy) Scala grew up in nearby Ashburn, Virginia. After receiving her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from James Madison University, she went on to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Virginia Commonwealth University. During her final year in PT school, Kimmy completed a clinical rotation at the Falls Church location of Bodies in Motion Physical Therapy and fell in love with the mission and vision of Bodies in Motion Physical Therapy. She began working at the Reston location in the fall of 2020. Kimmy is a Certified Dry Needling Specialist (CDNS), successfully finishing this training and certification in 2023.
As a former gymnast who underwent PT after an injury herself, Kimmy strives to create the best experience for her patients by creating a personal connection and emphasizing individualized care. Her goal is to equip patients with the tools they need to return to the activities they enjoy. Kimmy values working at Bodies in Motion Physical Therapy because it is a local clinic that focuses on helping the community heal and move.
In her free time Kimmy enjoys camping, spending time with her family, and re-reading the Harry Potter books.
