Sasha Nuñez

Sasha is originally from Miami, Florida. She trained rigorously in ballet and modern dance at New World School of the Arts and went on to earn the Dean's award of distinction. During this time, she sustained a dance related back injury and was treated with both physical therapy and a Pilates based rehab program.

She received her B.S. in Exercise Science from Florida State University and later received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Miami. While in graduate school, she continued to teach dance and Pilates. In 2015, she became a certified Pilates instructor for rehabilitation through Polestar Pilates Physical Therapy and became nationally certified through the Pilates Method Alliance (now known as NCPT). She also furthered her education by becoming a certified manual physical therapist through Florida Institute of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy that year. She is currently certified in dry needling, is a certified LSVT BIG therapist to treat Parkinson's disease and other neurological disorders and is L2 certified for the treatment of scoliosis through the Barcelona Scoliosis Physical Therapy School (BSPTS).

During her career, Sasha has treated in Florida, DC and now Virginia. She has gained valuable experience along the way. She had the opportunity to work for Dr. Jace Provo, Senior Vice President of medical affairs for the NBA, and has also worked in outpatient, inpatient rehab and acute care physical therapy. She uses all her experiences to provide comprehensive treatments for a variety of patient populations and diagnoses.

In her free time, she enjoys running/weights/Pilates, spending time with her husband and their two cats and going to Miami to visit her family.
