Anna Fortin

Anna received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Marymount University in 2009. She also holds a master’s degree in teaching English and a degree in human resources. Anna is a certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner (CKTP), specializing in general outpatient orthopedics. She also recently passed a competency exam for manual therapy using the respected Maitland approach to become a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMT). She believes in treating patients with a manual therapy approach, combined with exercises to support these specialized techniques. She only uses evidence-based approaches in treating her patients, with a focus on treating the patient “as a whole” by assessing posture, body dynamics and movement patterns. Anna treats a wide variety of patient impairments, but particularly enjoys working with patients with shoulder/neck dysfunction.

In her free time Anna enjoys speed walking, hiking, and kayaking. Anna is the proud mother of a classical ballet dancer and an international black belt holder in Tae Kwan Do.
