Meet Zamir Ahadzada
Zamir graduated from George Mason University with a B.A in Economics, and a Minor in Psychology in 2013. He then received his Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from Lynchburg College in 2017.
Prior to joining the team at Bodies in Motion Physical Therapy, Zamir spent four months interning at a specialty clinic in Glendale, Arizona where he developed skills focused on rehab for orthopedic conditions for high functioning athletes such as world class Jiu Jitsu Competitors, UFC fighters, and US Olympic wrestlers. His practice philosophy is based off of the framework supported by the current literature of utilizing manual techniques followed by exercise and patient education. He has a strong emphasis on correct movement patterns utilizing correct body mechanics and proper body positioning.
Zamir is a strong believer in continuing education and is pursuing an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) and manual therapy certification. He also has a special interest in Dry Needling.
Zamir is a Purple Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and is an active competitor of the International Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation.
