Meet Teri Deal
Teri Deal received her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Texas Woman’s University in Houston (1989) after completing her Bachelor of Arts from The University of Texas at Austin with focus in psychology and physiology. She has completed a six day competency-based training course in vestibular rehabilitation and specializes in treatment of patients who suffer from vertigo, dizziness, imbalance, as well as post-concussion syndrome. Teri is a Certified Direct Access practitioner which means that patients can see her directly without a prescription.
With over twenty years experience in the orthopedic physical therapy setting, Teri’s passion lies in her work with the aging population, assisting patients to regain optimal function, promoting independence, and allowing them to stay in their homes. In 2015 she attained the credential of Certified Exercise Expert in Aging Adults (CEEAA). She is a professional member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Academy of Geriatric Physical Therapy as well as of the Vestibular Disorder Association.
Having personally experienced the challenges of spine surgery and rehabilitation, Teri takes a special interest in spine patients and in assisting them in their return to an active lifestyle. In addition to manual therapy, she performs Trigger Point Dry Needling (TDN) to treat musculoskeletal problems.
Teri Deal is a bilingual therapist speaking both English and Spanish.
