Meet Sara Black
PT DPT NASM-CPT
A Richmond native, Sara attended East Carolina University as an NCAA Division I swimmer. She received a B.S. in Exercise Physiology with a minor in Business Administration before working for several years as a NASM certified personal trainer and licensed massage therapist. After making the decision to pursue a career in physical therapy, Sara attended the Lynchburg College Doctor of Physical Therapy program, graduating in 2017.
Now a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, she enjoys working with a variety of patients, ranging from young athletes to geriatrics. Sara is CAPP-Level I and II certified in treating pelvic health conditions including,but not limited to, urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, under-active pelvic floor conditions, pain with intercourse, coccydynia, and pudendal neuralgia. She also has experience with pre and post-partum patients dealing with pain management, muscle weakness, and preventative care. Sara also offers running gait analyses and fitness testing for athletes of all ages.
In her free time, Sara actively participates in triathlons, running races, and other outdoor activities. She enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and her dog Frankie.
