Anne Swoope

Anne Swoope (DPT, MTC, ATC, NCPT) completed her undergraduate education at Emory and Henry College, obtaining a BS in Sports Medicine, and is a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC). During her time there, she worked as a student athletic trainer for the football, baseball, and volleyball teams. She received her Masters of Physical Therapy at Shenandoah University, and completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in 2003.

Prior to joining Bodies In Motion, Anne worked for Physiotherapy Associates in Washington, DC, where her focus was in orthopedics and working with athletes. During this time, Anne obtained her Manual Therapy Certification (MTC, Paris Technique). She has also completed many other manual therapy courses, including Maitland and McKenzie techniques. Anne has completed craniofacial coursework taught by Dr. Mariano Rocabado through the University of St. Augustine. She looks forward to taking additional course work in this area and enjoys working with this patient population. She is a graduate of Polestar Pilates teacher training program, and is a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher (NCPT). 

Anne is a native of Burke, Virginia where she currently resides with her husband and two children.
